In the smart phone segment, the race is on to produce slimmer and thinner smart phones. While Huawei Ascend PS1 is the thinnest phone of the lot, HTC One S is slightly bulkier but still slimmer than the most of the other phones.

# The Thin! – Battery and Design
Huawei Ascend PS 1 has a powerful 1800mAH battery which is the elixir of its thin frame. At 6.88 mm thickness, it’s the slimmest of all smart phones which have been released. Huawei Ascend PS 1 has a dual core and an AMOLED display too.
HTC One S is fuelled by a 1650mAH battery which though strong, is not the strongest when compared to an 1800mAH battery. The thickness is 7.3mm and HTC One S also has a dual core and an AMOLED display.
The dual core chip is a Qualcomm chip which makes the transitions very quick, infact this is the quickest phone in this segment and is also the best performer.
# 2 – Smart!– Memory and Looks
Huawei Ascend PS 1 comes with Android Icecream Sandwich, has an internal memory of merely 4GB which essentially means that the user has to micromanage his/her media files. The plastic exteriors of Ascend PS 1 also lower down its physical appeal.
HTC One S also comes with Android Icecream Sandwich, has an internal memory of 16GB which is 4 times that of Ascend PS 1. However the lack of provision for external memory will be a disadvantage to those who wish to add find files beyond 16GB.
The ceramic or anodized aluminum finish makes the HTC One S smart phone one of the most sleek and smartest phones in the market.
# 3 – WOW!- Camera and Sound
Huawei Ascend PS 1 has a 1.3MP HD front camera which has the facility of taking videos at 720p and a 8 MP rear camera which can take videos at 1080p. It also has MHI-DMI ports and tout dual mics which facilitate noise reduction.
HTC One S also has the same features as Ascend PS 1 but additionally comes with beats audio enhancement which makes its audio quality is a couple of notches above that of Ascend PS 1. However the beats headsets have to be bought separately, making it a bit pricey option for the buyer.
While the thinness and the battery power of Huawei Ascend PS1 score over HTC One S, the looks and audio enhancements of HTC One S tilt the scales back to balance!
